| Multi-SOL - energy, environment and solar heating systems |
| Multi-SOL is a computer program dealing with energy, the environment and solar heating
systems. It has been developed for Windows and can run under both Windows version 3.1 and
Windows 95. It is exclusively mouse operated, and access to the information is gained
using pull-down menus, systematic topic menus or a headword index. Multi-SOL is aimed at
the practical trade - i.e. the know-how involved in installing small-scale solar heating
systems.
In principle, the program is twofold, consisting of an information part and a teaching part. In the information part you will find knowledge about topics ranging from the very basic rudiments to more complex scenarios. For example, there is information about the environment, energy, pressure, flow, corrosion, climatic conditions, laws, standards and so on. In addition, there is knowledge of a more specialized nature about e.g. proofing pipe lead-ins on roofs and connecting up solar heating systems with gas and solid fuel fired heating installations. The individual components have been described and illustrated in terms of their function, position, installation and regulation, and in relation to the Danish legislative requirements in force. The work processes involved in the actual installation are shown in a series of pictures with explanatory texts and elaborative illustrations. Multi-SOL development and support
